Toile génétique - XX pretends to face our own strangeness which is in a way close to our narcissistic image, to give substance, through an audible image, to genetic identity and to femininity. A way to bring tension in this odd intimate circle created between the exteriority and the interiority of the body; a way to put into space scheme and body language. A canvas on the side attracts, retains and crystallizes the whole process. A mirror, a body, a sound. The sound of what can’t be heard, of what is invisible, constantly moving: the sound of blood, of life. By recording the sound of my blood, I try to force this fluid and constant movement to come to life into the canvas. To capture blood is to provoke an encounter between the narcissistic image of the physical body and its mental image; a connection between the plastic body and the absent body.
